We serve you the most delicious, genuine boat-to-table dining the region has to offer in our casual Dartmouth restaurant. Our chefs get top choice from the daily catch off our very own fishing fleet, guaranteeing that our seafood— your seafood—is the freshest and the best.

One of the few restaurants on the SouthCoast that can directly source your food from fishing boat to plate, Cape Quality Seafood Restaurant opened in Dartmouth in 1997 and is still a family-run business. From sea-to-plate, your meals come from the cleanest, richest, and most sustainable fishing grounds in the North Atlantic.

Good friends Marc Bergeron and Sonny Stanley started Cape Quality Seafood Restaurant more than two decades ago and have been supplying it ever since from their own boats and processing plant at Bergie’s Seafood in nearby New Bedford. It doesn’t get any fresher than that.

Joyelle Benevides, Marc’s daughter and Sonny’s goddaughter, oversees the restaurant, carrying on the family tradition of serving quality seafood in our welcoming, comfortable dining room. At Cape Quality Seafood Restaurant, fresh and delicious seafood tops our menu, and friendly service is the special of every day.

Under Joyelle’s direction, meals are home-cooked and hand-crafted from appetizers to entrees and desserts. Family recipes passed down from generation to generation are customer favorites as well as inspired house specialties such as perfectly battered fish and chips, sumptuous clam boils, Portuguese-style steamers, delicately fried calamari, savory stuffed quahogs, tasty fish tacos and some of the largest lobsters on the SouthCoast. Check out our menu, which features North Atlantic wild-caught salmon as well as seafood such as salmon from other regions—never previously frozen and always from only the freshest sources.

Although our menu is seafood rich, our award-winning kitchen also prepares great burgers, salads, soups and pasta. You can order Cape Quality Seafood’s famous take-out or stay for a relaxing meal with beer and wine at our friendly neighborhood restaurant.
